How to Optimize the Use of Jeweller’s Orbs in World of Warcraft
Jeweller’s Orb is one of the most commonly-used orbs in PoE, used to re-roll an item’s socket count and alter its socket link colors and quality.
This Orb can easily add six linked sockets to body armor or 2-hand weapons for an affordable cost, as well as improve their quality by giving them slightly more armour, evasion or energy shield based on their base type.

Jeweller’s Orbs can be used to quickly change the number and color of sockets on weapons or armor pieces, giving players more customization options to suit their build and playstyle. Furthermore, quality also plays a major role – each increase of quality by one percentage increases your roll result by one percent.
Jeweller’s Orbs should only be used on items that will benefit from having more sockets; otherwise, your chances of successfully rerolling them may be very slim; it would often be cheaper and faster to obtain or buy what is required instead of spending Jeweller’s Orbs on a reroll.

This Orb enables a random addition of implicit properties to an item, including socket colors. It has a higher probability for rolling green than blue and red, and lower chances for yellow and purple; its likelihood varies among individual monsters killed; it may also be obtained through selling superior gems to vendors (for every 20% shared Quality you earn one Jeweller’s Orb), chests or containers within the game world as well as via certain types of quests or events in real-life.
This Orb allows players to reforge items with different properties and up to six unique affixes at random, adding new properties for reforging weapons or body armour they want to sell or trade, without incurring a massive cost (1 Choas Orb). Understanding the value and proper usage of a Jeweller’s Orb is crucial, particularly if you intend on changing socket numbers on an item of gear, or altering its attachments. This Orb can be used either to modify socket count, or alter attachment types of an object.
Jeweller’s Orbs do not reveal an accurate depiction of your chances of receiving any specific number of sockets; however, we do know that their maximum socket amount depends on an item type and level (one-handed weapons or shields may only receive up to three sockets, whereas two-hand weapons and body armour may receive six). Furthermore, equipment quality also impacts a roll – each additional 1% increases your odds of a successful implicit result by one.
These Orbs can be obtained by trading items to the Blacksmith or finding them in chests and Strongboxes. Although rare, these Orbs can prove extremely valuable if traded among players who require specific affixes or items.
This Orb can be used to add random modifiers to Magic or Rare items, although its effectiveness may be difficult to achieve. As its price difference between fully linked and unlinked items can often exceed that of Chaos Orbs, we do not advise using this Orb on 6-link items until enough Chaos Orbs have been purchased.
